Privacy Policy

Overview

D3 Wrestling and the D3 Wrestling Scout Chrome extension are tools for NCAA Division III wrestling coaches to track rankings, watch match film, and take scouting notes. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide these features.

Data We Collect

• Coach account information: Name and a hashed PIN for authentication. We do not store plaintext PINs.
• Scouting notes: Notes, bookmarks, and video clips you create while scouting wrestlers. These are stored on our servers and associated with your coach account.
• Video clips: Short video recordings captured from FloWrestling match pages are uploaded to secure cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) and linked to your scouting reports.
• Session data: The Chrome extension stores your login session and the last viewed wrestler locally in your browser using Chrome storage.

Chrome Extension Permissions

• Side Panel: Displays the scouting notepad alongside FloWrestling videos.
• Storage: Saves your login session and remembers which wrestler you were scouting.
• Tabs: Detects when you navigate to a scouting page or FloWrestling video to auto-load the correct wrestler.
• Host permissions: Communicates with the D3 Wrestling API to load and save your scouting data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties. Your scouting notes and clips are only accessible to coaches on your team who have authenticated accounts.

Data Storage

Data is stored on secure servers hosted by Railway (database) and Cloudflare (video clips). All communication between the extension and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.
